Dr. Louis D’Angelo, Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Europe Central District superintendent, announced the selection of Ms. Leah Zamor as the new principal of Ramstein High School.

DoDEA Announces Strategic Future Ready DoDEA Initiative to Strengthen Support for Military-Connected Students

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) has launched a comprehensive, mission-aligned transformation of its organizational structure in direct support of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Workforce Acceleration and Recapitalization Initiative. This strategic realignment is designed to better serve military-connected students and families through smarter resource allocation, strengthened leadership and professional development, and enhanced support at every level of the school system.

National School Nurse Day

DoDEA joined the nation in celebrating the specialized practice of school nursing on May 7, 2025. This celebration recognizes the contributions school nurses make every day, particularly in times of crisis, to improve the safety, health, and academic success of all students.

National Speech-Language-Hearing Month

DoDEA celebrates National Speech-Language-Hearing Month in May. The purpose of recognizing SLHM in DoDEA is to highlight the professionals who support individuals with speech, language, and hearing disorders.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Take time to thank a teacher for their tireless support of students. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9.
