SHAPE American Middle School Students Take Top Spots in Patriot's Pen Contest

 We are thrilled to announce that 3 of our 7th grade students, Sean, Lucas, and Angelina, have achieved an incredible sweep in the 2025 VFW Patriot's Pen Program! 

This prestigious youth essay competition invites students to share their voices on an annual patriotic topic. This year’s theme, "My Voice in America's Democracy," inspired thousands of participants worldwide. Our SAMS students competed against peers from France, Belgium, and England—and made history by securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!

 **1st Place:** Sean - $150 scholarship

 **2nd Place:** Lucas - $100 scholarship

 **3rd Place:** Angelina - $50 scholarship

SHAPE American Middle School has proudly participated in this program since 2012, but this marks the first time we’ve swept the top honors. What an incredible achievement!
