A WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Welcome all students, parents, and community members to SHAPE American Middle School (SAMS), home of the Gladiators. SHAPE American Middle School has a long and proud tradition of excellence in academics, as is demonstrated by the faculty and staff who all work in tandem to create a culture and environment where students feel nurtured and where success is continuously promoted. We focus on the intellectual, social, and developmental needs of young adolescent students while they prepare to transition from middle school to high school. Our Mission is to Educate, Engage, and Empower each student to succeed in our dynamic world. Our small school communities are divided into three grade levels for students in grades 6 -8. From the very first day of school when students enter their new classes, they are received by supportive teachers who are committed to excellence. All of our students are encouraged to use each minute to learn from their teachers, make new friends, and develop new skills as they participate in the many curricular and extra-curricular activities that we offer. I look forward to working in partnership with you to promote the success of our students.

Though separated by oceans and time zones, DoDEA SLPs have found a powerful way to stay connected and collaborate through a Microsoft TEAMS group that spans the globe.
